Recent research has shown that three quarters of men will be overweight within three years.
Part of the problem is that messages are often targeted at women - despite more men (65%) than women (55%) being overweight or obese.
More than half of men said they would not go to a GP for advice, while 87% were against joining slimming clubs.
The survey, of 1,028 men aged 16 to 64, revealed men were more likely to be motivated to lose weight to help them "chat someone up" (43%) than for health reasons (39%).
Men are often less well informed about nutrition and how to lose weight than women.
The men surveyed also showed a lack of understanding about the health implications of being overweight.
Don't you find that quite amazing in this day and age? _________________ reproduction-paintings.com |

You see a lot of good looking and fit men on the TV, but look around the streets, there's a lot of fat men out there.
Why they won't do something about it is beyond me. Some obviously recognise that it's not attractive to women, hence losing weight to chat someone up. All the publicity about health as well, they must go around with their eyes closed. _________________ mixed-drinks.info |
